Mezli Vega Osorno
Diaporama chileno
This work is composed by all the photographs taken during the course of a month in which the movement was restricted on weekends due to the the measures taken during the COVID-19 in Valparaiso, Chile. The gesture of filming the flash-up of the images on the screen manually allows pauses and progression to provide a rhythm that resembles the state of a long walk. At the same time it's similar as the gesture of fighting for a change in a neoliberal society, with its advances, pauses, setbacks and hesitations. The Chilean slideshow condenses the encounters that I was able to have with the inhabitants of Valparaíso, its streets, hills, common pots and some of the manifestations, wishing to show a state of transition of the city towards a new phase carried out one year after the social outbreak that was crying out for more equity in society.
